Barn Owl
The Heligan Barn Owls aren't often seen during daylight hours, so it's a real privilege when they are!
Siskin
The Siskin have started coming to the Niger feeders outside Horsemoor Hide.

Goldcrest
As the leaves start to fall this is the perfect time to spot the smaller insectivorous birds, such as this Goldcrest.
Brown Long-Eared Bat
This Brown Long-Eared Bat was found roosting along with two Pipistrelles in a small timber building in the Heligan nursery.
Wood mouse
A family of Wood mice have made a nest in our Barn Owl tower. This one proved very inquisitive!
Blue tit preening
This Blue tit was busy preening outside of Horsemoor Hide.
Palmate Newt larvae
Palmate Newts successfully bred in a trough in East Lawn this year.
